Andrea, Tim, and I moved aboard Salty Ginger yesterday. Peter and Irina joined us today. We have lots of food, excellent weather and we pointed our bow away from Boston towards Swans Island in Maine. And the harbor is pretty far astern by now!
The only unpleasant thing that we discovered in Boston was the fact that domestic batteries stopped holding charge. Luckily, Northeast Battery had the exact same batteries, so while it was an expensive enterprise to change them, going on a cruise with no batteries seemed totally irresponsible. After all, how would we store all the tasty perishable things for 2 weeks!
King Neptune is being very kind and we are grateful! Sailing on a close reach in 10 knot winds, with no seas is as idyllic as one can imagine!
