Despite the fact that the 3rd Noreaster is about to descend on NYC in as many weeks, last weekend was pretty nice weather to start getting Salty Ginger ready for 2018!
Under the winter cover it was very comfortable (although a bit stinky) cleaning out all the gunk from the winch gears. After a few hours all 4 winches were disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled. No parts got lost and the winches are working smoothly!

I took the propeller off for cleaning. Seems like anti-seizing compound we used at the beginning of the season did it's thing: it was a piece of cake taking out all the bolts.
New zincs are in the mail, bottom paint needs to be ordered, and before too long she'll be in the water!
