Salty Ginger is ready to set sail

Since the launch of Salty Ginger in May till now we did a lot of work to get her ready to go to sea (thanks a lot to all who helped!).

This Saturday the forecast looks very favorable to point the bow east and head to Lunenburg, NS. With the crew Mark, Viktor, and AJ we should have no problems sailing along the coast of Long Island Sound, pass Nantucket, cross the Gulf of Maine, and find Lunenburg harbor.

After that the plan is to explore the coast of Nova Scotia, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and come back to NYC through Long Island Sound. My lovely wife and kids, my parents, my sister and her family, and many friends are planning to join me at various points over the next two months. Whenever possible, we'll post updates here.
